The Unit Aide is responsible for maintaining inventory of sterile and unsterile supplies, stocking carts, replacing linen, and assisting with the collection of urgent supplies and medications. Duties also include transporting clean/soiled linen and specimens, ensuring bays are equipped with clean stretchers, and assisting patients with wayfinding.
Candidates must possess a Grade 12 education or equivalent, along with two years of recent related hospital medical/surgical supply experience. A Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) or Sterile Supply Processing certificate is required, and the ability to handle physical demands such as lifting 25-30 pounds repeatedly is necessary.
