The RN Results Expediter monitors and manages post-discharge diagnostic results for Emergency Department patients to ensure timely follow-up. This includes escalating critical findings to physicians and conducting patient callbacks to provide education and treatment plans.
Candidates must hold a BScN, be registered with the CNO, and possess at least five years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience. Required certifications include BCLS, with ACLS and CC1 preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent healthcare-related degree. Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Minimum five years recent Emergency Department nursing experience Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Demonstrated expertise in emergency nursing assessment, clinical decision-making, and patient education. Experience interpreting and responding to diagnostic information in collaboration with physicians. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and patient engagement skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing competing priorities. Proficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office applications, and Meditech. Excellent attendance and discipline free record a requirement. Preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Coronary Care 1 (CC1) certification required Membership with Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) preferred Experience in quality improvement, patient safety, clinical informatics, or care coordination initiatives.
