Analyze policy coverage, contractual agreements, and endorsements to determine coverage positions and exposure. Assess liability, quantum, and risk to recommend and establish appropriate claim reserves within assigned authority. Negotiate settlements effectively and cost-efficiently while maintaining fair and defensible claim decisions. Interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and case law applicable to casualty claims. Manage litigated claims, including instructing and collaborating with defence counsel and monitoring legal expenses. Communicate proactively and professionally with insureds, brokers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate, organized, and timely claim file documentation in accordance with company standards. Provide high-quality customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and providing regular claim updates.
