<h1><span>Opportunity</span></h1> <p>Millennium Insurance is seeking a Casualty Adjuster who will independently manage and resolve Automobile Liability claims, Commercial General Liability, and Professional Liability, ensuring fair, timely, and accurate outcomes in accordance with policy wording, legislation, and industry best practices.</p> <p>If you are analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoy investigating moderately complex liability claims while collaborating with legal and business partners, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing and collaborative claims team.</p> <h1><span>What you will be doing</span></h1> <ul> <li><span>Investigate and evaluate casualty claims, including </span>Automobile Liability<span>, Commercial General Liability and Professional Liability, claims.</span></li> <li><span>Analyze policy coverage, contractual agreements, and endorsements to determine coverage positions and exposure.</span></li> <li><span>Assess liability, quantum, and risk to recommend and establish appropriate claim reserves within assigned authority.</span></li> <li><span>Negotiate settlements effectively and cost</span>‑<span>efficiently while maintaining fair and defensible claim decisions.</span></li> <li><span>Interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and case law applicable to casualty claims.</span></li> <li><span>Manage litigated claims, including instructing and collaborating with defence counsel and monitoring legal expenses.</span></li> <li><span>Communicate proactively and professionally with insureds, brokers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders.</span></li> <li><span>Maintain accurate, organized, and timely claim file documentation in accordance with company standards.</span></li> <li><span>Provide consistent, high</span>‑<span>quality customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and providing regular claim updates.</span></li> <li><span>Stay current on industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices within casualty claims management.</span></li> </ul> <h1><span>What you bring to the team</span></h1> <ul> <li><span>Minimum of three (3) years of experience handling auto, casualty or liability claims</span></li> <li><span>Post-secondary education and/or CIP designation are considered an asset</span></li> <li><span>Strong knowledge of liability principles, claims reserving, and policy interpretation</span></li> <li><span>Ability to analyze and interpret legislation, contractual language, and case law</span></li> <li><span>Experience managing litigated files and working with defence counsel is an asset but we are willing to train</span></li> <li><span>Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills</span></li> <li><span>Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite</span></li> <li><span>Strong analytical, organizational, and time</span>‑<span>management skills with a high level of attention to detail</span></li> <li><span>Professional judgment, accountability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision</span></li> </ul> <h1><span>How you will succeed</span></h1> <p><span>In the first year, success will be measured by your ability to independently manage auto and casualty claims portfolio, make sound coverage and liability decisions, maintain accurate reserves, resolve claims efficiently, and consistently deliver high</span>‑<span>quality service while meeting performance and compliance standards.</span></p> <h1><span>How we take care of our Employees</span></h1> <p><span>By joining Millennium Insurance, you will belong to a passionate and purpose-driven team.
