The Mental Health Nurse provides nursing assessments, medication administration, and therapeutic interventions for children and youth with complex mental health diagnoses. They collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to develop and modify care plans while documenting findings in health records.
Candidates must be a member in good standing with the CRNA or CRPNA and possess 3-5 years of recent pediatric experience in an ambulatory care setting. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and the ability to maintain TCI certification is required.

Psychiatry and Medical Clinics You will be part of a team that supports kids and youth who would not necessarily benefit from a CASA program, but still need psychiatric care as they have complex, chronic mental health diagnosis. Psychiatry and Medical Clinics provide appropriate and dedicated resources to these children, including intensive, medically monitored and community-based psychiatric care.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Mental Health Nurse works collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide and coordinate services such as nursing assessment and plan of care, medication administration, teaching, telephone follow up, health promotion and therapeutic interventions. The Mental Health Nurse practices according to the code of ethics and practice standards of their specific nursing college.
