The Support Care Worker provides ongoing care and emotional support to men in addiction recovery, assisting with daily activities and program participation. They are responsible for monitoring client well-being, facilitating recovery activities, and managing crisis situations under clinical guidance.
A degree or certification in psychology, social work, or nursing is preferred, along with experience in mental health or addiction recovery. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check.

Located in Gunn, Alberta, the Lakeview Recovery Community supports men living with addiction on their journey to a sustainable recovery. We deliver a full continuum of addiction recovery support in a community environment, focusing on healing and personal growth. Our goal is that individuals leave Lakeview with the life skills, tools, and resources to maintain long-term wellness and sustain recovery and having nurtured healthy relationships with friends and family.
Reporting to the Support Care Team Lead, the Support Care Worker will assist in the delivery of personalized recovery programs, offer emotional support, and help clients engage with the community and treatment processes. This position is ideal for empathetic, resilient individuals passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of those recovering from addiction and those willing to help wherever is needed around the Recovery Community.
Degree or certification in psychology, social work, nursing, or related field preferred. Experience in a caregiving role, preferably within mental health, addiction recovery, or a related healthcare setting. Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle as required Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality. CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
Successfully complete and pass a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check prior to initiating employment and annually thereafter.
