$41.68 - $53.28 Location: Humber River Health– Hennick Humber Hospital with some cross-coverage at the Reactivation Care Centre. Hours of work: Available to work rotating shifts (Monday to Friday). Availability to work weekends and statutory holidays may be required on occasion.

• Responsibilities: This position's primary assignment is to support an acute patient population, working in various units and programs including inpatient Medicine, Surgery, Stroke, Critical Care, and post-acute programs at the Reactivation Care Centres (Finch and Church locations) as needed. Providing appropriate assessment and treatment of referred patients/clients within an acute inpatient and post-acute settings. Prioritizing patient caseload to meet the needs of referred patients. Recording client assessment, progress and discharge status. Recording timely workload measurement data. Works as a member of the health care team. Flexibility in caseload and program assignment. Able to manage patient caseload in a busy acute care setting. Clinical supervision of clinical nutrition students/interns. Some weekend and statutory holiday coverage may be required as needed. Cross-coverage at both the Wilson and Reactivation Care Centres (Church & Finch locations) may be required as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Food and Nutrition. Current registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Completion of an internship program and a member (or eligibility to become a member) of the Dietitians of Canada. 1-2 years clinical experience is preferred. Experience in TPN an asset Excellent knowledge of clinical nutrition principles and evidence based nutrition practice Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to encourage, support and motivate patients and/or their families from a multi-cultural community. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team. Ability to travel for cross-site coverage may be required. Access to a vehicle is an asset. Excellent attendance and discipline free record required. An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
