Medical Office Assistants are essential team members responsible for managing clinic flow, including checking in patients, taking vitals, scheduling appointments, and setting up treatment rooms within a team-based model. Key duties also involve coordinating medical documents, preparing requisitions, handling invoices, and compiling necessary data and statistics.
Candidates must have completed a recognized Medical Office Assistant certificate program and possess a minimum of two years of experience in medical clinic operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential competencies include strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team, and proficiency with computer systems, including trauma-informed care understanding.

Medical Office Assistants are an essential part of the team at Radius. Radius’ main clinic operates on a team-based model – each clinical team includes nurses, MOAs, physicians, nurse practitioners, health navigators, and outreach workers. MOAs fulfill vital roles within the clinic structure, with key responsibilities as below:
Coverage for alternate Radius sites. May include: Supervised Consumption Site, Dental Clinic, Offsite/Outreach locations
Qualifications: Completion of recognized Medical Office Assistant certificate program
Minimum two years’ experience in medical clinic operation, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Current CPR certification
