Direct Support Professionals assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives within their homes and communities. They support clients in learning new skills for personal growth while ensuring they can live fully and independently.
Candidates must have a full G license, personal automobile insurance, and access to reliable transportation. A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required, and post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.
