Casual direct support professional

• This is a high intensity location with multiple physical, aggressive behaviours occuring at the same time.
• The successful candidate must have proven experience supporting multiple people with high behavior needs.
• The Relief Support provides call-in or back-fill support to people supported.
• They assist with activities of daily living and work within the protocols of the location.
• They work with other employees on shift to provide supports and services to people.
• Working within Karis Disability Services Service Principles, the Relief Support considers each person’s intrinsic value.

Requirements

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Access to reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
