Direct Support Professional employees work with people experiencing developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, assisting them in their daily lives. This role supports individuals to learn skills for growth and development, recognizing their rights to direct their own lives.
Applicants must possess a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check and have access to reliable transportation. Preferred qualifications include 12 months of experience or post-secondary education in a related field like Developmental Services Worker or Child and Youth Worker.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.
