Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetrical, and vascular scans using Doppler techniques. Coordinate patient workflow, assist radiologists during biopsies, and maintain accurate imaging records and equipment quality control.
Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Diagnostic Sonography program and hold certification from Sonography Canada or ARDMS. Requires demonstrated proficiency in sonographic theory, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work independently in a clinical setting.

Your Day to Day: Prepares patients for ultrasound exams by reviewing requisitions, clinical history, entering patient data, and explaining procedures Performs a range of ultrasound examinations using appropriate imaging and Doppler techniques, ensuring proper image labelling and archiving Assists radiologists during interventional and biopsy procedures while providing patient support and maintaining aseptic technique Reviews images for quality and completeness, prepares documentation, and consults with radiologists as needed Coordinates workflow, patient transport, and maintains accurate imaging and hospital records Monitors and maintains equipment, performs quality control, supports staff training, participates in research, and follows health and safety requirements
