Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include assessing and evaluating care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with families and healthcare providers to ensure high quality of life.
Requires graduation from a recognized Practical Nursing program and current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. Candidates must hold a current basic cardiac life support certification and possess the physical ability to perform nursing duties.

Your Day to Day Provide safe and respectful nursing care, adhering to established policies, individualized care plans, and priorities Conduct thorough assessments, monitor signs/symptoms, and communicate with the RN/RPN as needed Prepare patients for procedures, transfers, and admissions, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team Administer medications per protocol, monitor effects, and maintain communication with the team Utilize evidence-based resources to stay updated on nursing practices Respond to incidents such as codes, injuries, spills, and alarms, following procedures Assist with staff orientation, demonstrating procedures and providing support Address patient/resident and family learning needs, provide educational materials, and make referrals Attend care planning meetings, provide input, and advocate for patients/residents Collaborate with the team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans Assist with discharge planning based on patient status and external supports Operate and clean equipment, report malfunctions, and handle hazardous materials.
