The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services, including medical assessments and treatments, for patients receiving cancer care. Responsibilities include managing treatment-related symptoms, providing psychosocial support, and coordinating care within a multi-disciplinary team.
Candidates must be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and hold a current BCLS certification. A Bachelor of Nursing and experience in oncology or chemotherapy administration are preferred.

Knowledge Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurse, Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Satisfactory employment record Must be able to work in Canada legally

Bachelor of Nursing from an accredited academic institution Three (3) years of experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory care Previous experience in chemotherapy administration and IV insertion Knowledge and experience with oncology Experience with electronic charting CNA Certified Oncology Nurse [CON(C)] Member of a professional association (e.g. ARNM) Knowledge of Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS),Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) and other legislated acts.Roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team., and Principles of delegation.
