  • The technologist must be able to perform quality screening and diagnostic mammography with minimal supervision and display independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
  • Performing radiological procedures for the purpose of medical diagnosis including: assessing requisitions for appropriate examinations, views and equipment required; obtaining pertinent history; selecting techniques and positioning patients to attain quality images; operating X-Ray equipment and adhering to ALARA radiation safety practices; carrying out sterile techniques when required; and performing clerical duties related to the care of the patient.Hours of Work Monday to Friday (75 hours biweekly)Your Qualifications Graduate of an approved school of Radiological Technology required.
  • Current registration or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) is required Current registration or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) required.
