  • Assist the Supervisor with preparing performance reports related to operational scheduling.
  • Provide reports on escort scheduling.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve concerns from employees and management as appropriate.
  • Participate in the Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) process to improve the LTC & Seniors scheduling model

Requirements summary

  • Successful completion of a Secondary School Diploma or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years related experience daily scheduling of large numbers of employees for shifts in various locations.
  • Required as a condition of employment: satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), tuberculosis screening, and proof of immunization in accordance with the Long-Term Care Homes Act (O.Reg.79/10).
  • Understanding of scheduling techniques/methods.
  • Familiarity with collective agreements, legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability in the Region’s core competencies.
  • Intermediate skills in virtual platforms and MS Office Suite.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to deal empathetically with residents and family members.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and organize, prioritize, and multitask.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

About the Role

  • Reporting to the Supervisor Scheduling and Administration, is responsible for the daily scheduling of large numbers of Long Term Care and Seniors operations staff across multiple scheduling patterns, locations and shifts and collecting and reporting on data, as required; utilizing effectively, the computerized scheduling software and other computer aided systems.
