Schedule, confirm, and verify daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling for LTC & Seniors operations staff across multiple scheduling patterns, locations, and shifts.
Assign staff to maintain daily operations and provide coverage for vacation, sick leaves, escort duties, special events, training, professional development, and disaster/contingency staffing.
Maintain allocation of staff resources including documentation, record keeping, and data entry using scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications.
Perform regularly scheduled data maintenance procedures.
Update computerized scheduling software with information for new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence.
Administer the casual availability system by distributing and collecting casual staff availability via the Staff Kiosk and computerized scheduling software.
Assist the Supervisor with preparing performance reports related to operational scheduling.
Provide reports on escort scheduling.
Respond to inquiries and resolve concerns from employees and management as appropriate.
Participate in the Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) process to improve the LTC & Seniors scheduling model
Requirements summary
Successful completion of a Secondary School Diploma or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum two (2) years related experience daily scheduling of large numbers of employees for shifts in various locations.
Required as a condition of employment: satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), tuberculosis screening, and proof of immunization in accordance with the Long-Term Care Homes Act (O.Reg.79/10).
