Cantonese-Speaking Home Care Personal Support Worker (PSW) Need in Toronto

• We are looking for awesome Cantonese-Speaking Personal Support Workers to work with a client in Toronto (M4M 3M4). *The client is looking for daily care 8 hours per day.
• Shifts are 11:30pm-7:30pm. *Preference is for caregivers who can offer weekday AND weekend availability**

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans. Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a senior stay at home). Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine). Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth. Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises. Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly. Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description. Completes records and documents accurately and thoroughly. Schedule Client is looking for daily care, 11:30am-7:30pm, Monday through Sunday. Client is looking for someone who will be with them long-term and can provide consistent care and communicate in Cantonese. Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized institution, or equivalent international nursing or medical degree/certification. Valid CPR and First Aid Certification. Valid WHMIS 2015 Certificate of Completion. Negative TB test completed within the last 12 months. Valid Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check completed within the last 12 months. Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English. Must be fluent in Cantonese to effectively communicate with the client and family. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required, subject to exemptions in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code. HSCPOA registration is considered a strong asset. Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence is considered an asset but is not required.
