Community-Based Personal Support Workers (PSWs) Needed for Weekends

• We are looking for awesome, self-driven Personal Support Workers to work throughout the Toronto/GTA area on Weekends and Holidays.
• Please note we are only moving forward with applicants who are available to support us with our client needs on weekends.
• Scheduling Requirements: Must be available WEEKENDS MUST be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule for the foreseeable future Available and willing to see multiple clients throughout the day (we are a 24/7 business and require support days, evenings, overnights, as well as holidays).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients in accordance with their individualized care plans. Offer companionship and assistance with light housekeeping duties—doing whatever it takes to help clients remain safely and comfortably at home. Prepare meals according to the preferences and requests of the client and/or their family, including a variety of cuisines. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice of a Personal Support Worker. Support clients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, linen changes, and other related care needs. Assist clients with transfers, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and mobility support. Ensure client safety at all times and use equipment safely and appropriately. Practice safely and competently within the limits of your training, experience, and job responsibilities. Complete all required documentation and records accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner. An asset to have a valid driver's license and reliable access to a car that can be used for daily work; if no vehicle, must be able to travel within the Toronto/GTA area. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or International nursing/ doctorate Certification Negative TB Test completed within the last year Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and Diphtheria REQUIRED, immunization of Hepatitis B is strongly urged. Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.
