Requirements summary
Developmental Service Worker diploma or acceptable educational equivalency (Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Nursing, Psychology, etc.) as determined by the employer, or PSW certification from an accredited education facility.
Previous recent work experience in a community residential or social services setting providing support to people with disabilities is preferred.
If holding a completed degree/diploma in an unrelated field, 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people is required.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Ability to attend team meetings and training as required.
Valid class "G" driver's license and own reliable transportation required.

We are presently accepting resumes for One (1) Flex Support Worker II and III– Awake Night Shift positions. This position will be assigned to work in various Empower Simcoe group homes in Barrie, working up to 72 hours biweekly. The purpose of this role is to provide flexible, person-centered support across multiple group living locations within Empower Simcoe, at our Barrie locations. The Flex Support Worker will play a critical role in filling vacant shifts, responding to immediate staffing needs, and being prepared for redeployment where necessary. Compensation Package:
Hours of work will include working 12-hour shifts for a total of 72 hours biweekly primarily between 7:00am-7:00pm
Minimum starting rate of pay is $24.63/hour - 11 paid Statutory Holidays
