Assist Sonographers in the Ultrasound department to ensure high-quality patient care.
Support and implement the hospital mission and vision in interactions with patients, staff, and the public.
Assist with day-to-day Ultrasound department operations, including planning and organizing additional duties.
Ensure prompt and safe service meeting accuracy, reliability, and quality management system requirements.
Prepare incident reports as required by the quality management system.
Participate in implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Quality Control and Quality Improvement programs.
Complete urgent and non-urgent CD disk requests according to departmental policy and procedure.
Schedule and reschedule inpatient exams for external referral sources.
Participate in orientation of new staff.
Participate in departmental meetings.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, physicians, volunteers, and patients.
Foster and maintain a positive climate within the department.
Maintain good personal health and regular attendance.
Prepare patients for Ultrasound exams (forms, gowning, and ensuring required items are removed).
Assist patients with forms if unable to complete them.
Facilitate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
Maintain patient and hospital confidentiality.
Assist Ultrasound Technologist in the exam room with positioning the patient for the exam.
Ensure requisitions are all accounted for.
Assist with ensuring procedural trays are prepped.
Order and stock necessary supplies.
Fold and stock linens and dispose of dirty linens.
Ensure stretchers are prepped and cleaned for the next day.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Diagnostic Imaging quality and leadership group
Requirements summary
Completion, or in progress, of a college level diploma or university degree in a healthcare related field is required.
Experience in a health care setting is preferred.
Experience working in a Diagnostic Imaging Department is preferred.

Assist Ultrasound Technologist in the exam room with getting the patient onto the stretcher and assisting with placing the patient for their exam.
Ensuring requisitions are all accounted for.
Assisting with ensuring all procedural trays are prepped.
