Requirements summary
Completion, or in progress, of a college level diploma or university degree in a healthcare related field is required.
Experience in a health care setting is preferred.
Experience working in a Diagnostic Imaging Department is preferred.

Supporting and implementing the mission and vision of the hospital in his/her relationship with patients, staff and the general public.
Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the Ultrasound department, including planning and organizing additional duties in the Ultrasound department.
Ensuring a prompt and safe service that meets accuracy, reliability and quality management system requirements.
Preparing incident reports as required according to the requirements of the quality management system.
Participating with the implementation, monitoring and reporting or Quality Control, and Quality improvement programs in accordance with the quality management system.
Completing urgent and non-urgent CD disk requests according to departmental policy and procedure.
Scheduling/rescheduling inpatient exams for external referral sources.
Participation in the orientation of new staff.
Participation in departmental meetings.
Developing and maintaining good working relationships with staff, physicians, volunteers and patients.
Fostering and maintaining a positive climate within the department.
Maintaining good personal health and regular attendance.
Preparing patients for their Ultrasound exam by giving them the proper forms to fill out and having them changed into proper hospital gown and pants.
