The Personal Support Worker provides direct care to patients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and following nursing care plans to meet the physical and emotional needs of residents.
Candidates must have completed a PSW program or hold an HCA/CCA certification. Experience in long-term care or community home care settings, particularly with dementia and palliative care, is preferred.
The PSW/HCA/CCA provides direct personal support and care to patients to fulfil the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients in accordance to polices, procedure and work routines.
