Candidates need a University Degree or College Diploma in Social Services or a related field, along with a valid CPR certification and a Criminal Record Check. Experience in supportive housing, harm reduction, and working with chronically homeless populations is required.

The Supportive Housing Worker position will report to the Housing Coordinator or their designate who in turn will report to their Department Director. The Supportive Housing Worker, under the management of the Housing Coordinator, will undertake the objectives of Rita Thompson Enhanced Supportive Housing, building community, working with marginalized population. The Supportive Housing Worker position is a foundational role that ensures the daily and weekly routines of the enhanced housing program are maintained while supporting clients in meeting their basic needs (physical, emotional and mental health) working collaboratively with the case management team. Supportive Housing Worker are responsible for providing trauma – informed standards of care for the community. Some flexibility in working hours, to ensure coverage to support the team and needs of the program.
