Remains calm and manages stress appropriately.</li> <li>Deliver safe administration of medication and treatments with a focus on accuracy, quality and meeting our residents&rsquo; quality of life requests.&nbsp;</li> <li>Follow plans of care (or service plans) in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses and able to identify and report any changes in the resident&rsquo;s well-being to the Charge Nurse or Village leadership team.</li> <li>Have an understanding of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations applicable to the Long-Term Care sector, including the Fixing Long-Term.

Care Act, 2021, Ontario Retirement Communities Association, and the Occupational Health &amp; Safety Act (OSHA) of Ontario.</li> <li>Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of personal care to our residents.</li> <li>Work as a key member of our Village and Neighbourhood multidisciplinary team to understand residents&rsquo; individual needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care, support new resident move-ins, facilitate transfers to hospital, or any changes in resident medical needs.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Neighbourhood Physician during weekly rounds and update care plans and directions accordingly.</li> <li>Have proficient communication and computer skills in order to update care plans in the current system.</li> <li>Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the RPN role.</li> <li>Proven alignment with our organizational vision, mission, and values of Caring relationships, Persistent and passionate, Positive, Can-do attitude, Creative and innovative, Hardworking and hands-on, Genuine and humble; as well as, the values of the Customer Experience Credo (Know Me, Be Present, Walk in My Shoes, Earn Trust and Follow Through).</li> </ul> <p><strong>It would be an asset if our new Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) has:</strong></p> <ul> <li>MDS credentials.</li> <li>Experience working with people living with Dementia.</li> <li>Knowledge of the palliative assessments scale.</li> <li>Comfortable supporting residents and their families during end-of-life care.</li> <li>Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector (e.g.

Requirements

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Heart Save Level of CPR certification.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Knowledge of policies, legislation, and regulations applicable to Ontario retirement and long-term care.

Proficient communication and computer skills.

Understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the RPN role.
