The Position The Support Worker contributes to a safe, supportive, and inclusive living environment by supporting tenants with daily living, encouraging independence, and promoting community connections.
Working collaboratively with housing, maintenance, janitorial, and kitchen staff, the position collaborates with the team to provide direct tenant support, communicates safety concerns, and contributes to a respectful, team-based environment.
Overview •
High school completion required.
One year of employment experience.
Knowledge of the Housing First model and harm reduction practices.
Familiarity with mental health, addiction services, and community resources.
Successful Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check required.
Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts.
Ability to navigate stairs and use industrial cleaning products and equipment.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to remain calm and responsive during crisis incidents
