Provide direct clinical support to participants at the iOAT Clinic.
Deliver evidence-based interventions.
Administer medications.
Promote harm reduction practices.
Establish therapeutic relationships.
Support trauma-informed and culturally safe care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to reduce toxic drug poisonings and improve health outcomes.
Conduct pre-administration nursing assessments and ongoing monitoring of medication response.
Perform phlebotomy, wound care, vitals, and focused/general assessments.
Provide point-of-care testing (pregnancy/urine).
Provide harm-reduction education, naloxone training, and HCV/HIV testing & counselling.
Support client-centred care planning and revise plans based on participant status.
Coordinate care transitions and outreach for hard-to-reach clients and manage referral coordination.
Maintain accurate EMR documentation and MAR/paper charting.
Follow safety practices including violence prevention, infection control, and OH&S
Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Minimum 1 year experience in mental health and substance use nursing, plus 1 year in community health or primary care.
Harm reduction nursing experience.
Completion of BCCSU Addiction Care Online Training Certificate and Provincial Opioid Addiction Treatment Support Program modules.
Certificates in CPR, First Aid, BCCDC Immunizations, phlebotomy, transportation of dangerous goods, and advanced wound care.
Valid BC Driver’s License.
