The Diagnostic Imaging(DI) Processing Clerk is responsible for screening requisitions for completeness and contacting referring physician offices, other health professionals or patients to gather missing data. Accurately and consistently reviewing requisitions based on urgency and modality requirements, and transcribing PDF into electronic files.Experience A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a high volume computerized medical office including processing large volumes of requisitions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail is required. Experience with RightFax and Laserfiche considered an asset. Experience in a Diagnostic Imaging Department is considered an asset. Experience with RIS/PACS is considered an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Completion of a Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate or Medical Office Assistant Certificate from a recognized institute. Completion of high school education or equivalent, Manitoba standards required. Completion of medical terminology may be required. An equivalent combination of educational certificate or degree will be considered. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Demonstrates effective oral and written communications skills. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Teams, and Outlook an asset. Demonstrates strong organization and prioritizing skills. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships in a multi-disciplinary team and with external agencies, groups and the public.
