The Home Nutrition Support Nurse acts as a resource to other health care professionals including pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, physicians and nurses in the hospital or community.
The incumbent, in collaboration with the MHNP team, is also responsible for the provision of education for patients, families, other health care professionals and community groups.
Participates in the development of standards, policies and procedures, and evaluation of the MHNP for children and adults. Experience Three years recent experience in acute care nursing required. Demonstrated expertise in parenteral and enteral nutrition required. Pediatric and community experience is an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required. Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
