Provide overnight awake support for residents, assisting with personal life plans and behavior support strategies. Maintain thorough documentation and advocate for the rights, dignity, and well-being of residents in a home-like environment.
Preferred education in developmental disabilities or human services with one to two years of experience supporting individuals with complex needs. Must hold current Standard First Aid, CPR, and Safe Management certifications.
July 8th, 2026, by 4:30 P.M. POSITION FILL DATE: on or before September 17th, 2026 SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS, ETC. (as per Article 12.02): Provide overnight awake support for residents, which can include day or evening awake hours or night sleep shifts, as per Article 14.02 (i)(d) of the Collective Agreement. Assist in implementing personal life plans and/or respective complex needs support plans and/or behaviour support plans Provision of creative supports and activities that enhance daily living, self-care, and interpersonal skills and promote social, leisure, and community participation Promote independence, self-esteem, and self-confidence of residents Assist with communication and follow up with family, consultants, medical personnel, support teams, etc. Promote the involvement of family, volunteers, and natural support for residents Thorough and consistent completion and follow-up of data collection, documentation, and record maintenance to comply with all CLSL, legislative, and regulatory requirements, as assigned Modelling for/provision of guidance for new and existing team members, student placements, and volunteers Advocating for personal rights, dignity, well-being, and protection from harm to residents, and report infractions in accordance with policy Assist in providing a healthy, clean, safe, and home-like environment for all residents, staff, and visitors Assist in taking appropriate action in the event of illness, injury, or critical situations Be respectful and considerate of others to create a positive work and support environment
