Coordinate and advance patient care for high-acuity surgical oncology patients within a multi-disciplinary team. Implement interventions to reduce hospital harm indicators and collaborate with surgeons and physicians to evaluate patient outcomes.
Requires current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and at least one year of experience in an adult surgical setting. Must hold a current BCLS certification and possess proficiency in acute care clinical skills.
Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse Minimum one (1) year experience in an adult surgical setting Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Familiarity with the unique challenges of an acute care setting Knowledgeable in acute pain management strategies, enteral and parenteral nutrition, complex wound care, stoma management and vascular access skills Competency in assessing and prioritizing clinical demands Exhibits organizational skills required to function in high acuity environments Displays exceptional communication and respect within an inter-professional team setting Evidence of ongoing professional development Proficient in electronic documentation and technology
