Requires a high school diploma, CPR/BCLS certification, and a Sterilization Certificate or equivalent MDRD experience. Candidates must have at least 2 years of technical experience handling delicate healthcare equipment.
As a member of the healthcare team, the Health Care Aide supports patient care through equipment reprocessing and supply management, maintenance of a clean, safe environment, and participation in selected patient care activities. The HCA provides unit support to patients, families, and those providing service and/or care. Functions according to the job description for Technical Health Care Aides in the Operating Room.
