• “Immediately eligible for registration” means meeting all requirements for full professional registration and completing the registration process with the relevant BC professional association within six (6) months of employment.
• Preference may be given for:
• Two (2) or more years of experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
• One (1) or more years of experience (gained within the last 5 years) in eating disorder services or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Six (6) months or more experience or training providing group and/or individual therapy to youth and the families who struggle with emotion dysregulation, high-risk behaviours and/or safety concerns. Therapy examples include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Family Based Treatment, or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for eating disorders.
• Certification in family therapy (e.g. CAMFT Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy).
• One (1) or more years of experience delivering family therapy and supporting parents of children and youth with complex mental health presentations.

• Position: This position is based in Port Moody. Travel between the communities within the North Fraser Service Delivery area is required (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Burnaby, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge). This position is also posted as a SPO MH 24 under REQ 124013 Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to one (1) day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
