Conduct holistic patient assessments and implement individualized care plans across various hospital departments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor patient conditions and provide education to patients and their families.
Requires a current Registered Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Recent acute medical/surgical experience is preferred, along with the ability to adapt to diverse clinical environments.

· Conduct holistic patient assessments, analyze clinical data, and determine appropriate nursing interventions based on patient needs and established care standards. · Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. · Safely administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with medical orders, organizational policies, and professional practice standards. · Continuously observe, evaluate, and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns and initiating appropriate interventions as required. · Collaborate and ensure SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) communication with the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families · Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care outcomes in the health record in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements. · Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, medications, and health promotion strategies to support informed decision‑making. · Understand the RN scope of practice to adapt to changes in environment, patient populations in relation to the float RN role
· Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse · Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification · Recent clinical nursing experience in acute medical/surgical (within the last 5 years) preferred · Demonstrated knowledge of the current nursing assessment and management of patients, including the nursing care plan · Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary care and a nursing professional practice model · Demonstrated ability to utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques · Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, teamwork and conflict management skills · Ability to set priorities and organize work in response to patient care needs · Ability and willingness to regularly work in varying hospitals sites and departments · Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt positively to constantly changing clinical environments, patient populations and situations · Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement initiatives, continuous learning and professional development Candidates interested in Critical Care (in addition to the qualifications above) · Critical Care Certificate preferred · Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support certifications preferred · Recent experience in ECG interpretations, pressure monitoring, airway management and mechanical ventilators preferred Candidates interested in Emergency (in addition to the qualifications above) · Certification for Emergency Nursing preferred · Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred · Trauma Nursing Core Competency (TNCC) course completion preferred · Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) completion preferred Candidates interested in Pediatrics (in addition to the qualifications above) · Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred · Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred · Enrollment or Certificate in Neonatal/Perinatal nursing or equivalent preferred · Breastfeeding Certificate Course completion preferred
