Perform various types of echocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients, including stress and transesophageal studies. Document pathology, write preliminary reports for cardiologists, and maintain a clean workspace.
Requires registration with the CMRITO, completion of an accredited Echocardiography program, and BCLS certification. One year of relevant experience and membership with ARDMS or Sonography Canada are preferred.
The Echocardiography Technologist performs Echocardiograms on both inpatients and outpatients. Duties include: performing M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and color flow echocardiograms in accordance with hospital procedure, including inserting IVs and performing Enhanced studies ; interpreting echocardiograms and documenting pathology; assisting physicians with trans esophageal echocardiograms; performing dobutamine stress echocardiography and recumbent bike stress echocardiography tests; writing preliminary reports for cardiologists interpreting echocardiograms; restocking and cleaning of workspace, providing patient care within scope and other duties as may be assigned.
CSW2626-X2: Alternating Friday and Saturday: 10pm to 9am
CSW2626-E2: Alternating Saturdays and Sundays: 9am to 4pm
