Assists with medication dispensing, including the compounding of sterile products and the management of automated dispensing cabinets. Performs clerical duties and maintains accurate records for inventory and quality assurance.
Requires a Grade 12 diploma and graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant course or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess strong communication skills and the physical ability to perform pharmacy duties.
The salary range for this position is CAD $33.85 - $33.85 / hour Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, Pharmacy Services or designate, assists with medication dispensing by performing complex duties related to compounding sterile products as well as packaging, distributing and inventory control. Monitors and maintains the local system for automated dispensing cabinets. Performs clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience
Grade 12, graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant course or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to deal with others effectively. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Ability to type. Ability to organize work. Ability to operate related equipment.
