Provide person-centered direct nursing care and develop individualized care plans for diverse patient populations in a rehabilitation and long-term care setting. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient outcomes, document assessments, and mentor junior staff and students.
Must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing with current BCCNM registration. Requires at least one year of recent gerontological nursing experience and a current Level 1 First Aid certificate.

In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Nursing Practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) works collaboratively and in partnership with the interdisciplinary team in the provision of person-centered care to diverse populations. This includes promoting resident/client choices, individualized care plans, encouraging resident/client and family involvement in care decisions and supporting continuity and consistency of care. Utilizing an outcome-oriented approach and reflecting evidence-informed practice, the RN/RPN provides direct nursing care designed to meet the needs of residents/clients and their families. Works in partnership with Licensed Practical Nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary team by sharing information, demonstrating and/or providing guidance on clinical care.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). One (1) year's recent, related gerontological nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Level 1 First Aid certificate.
