We are hiring for a relief full-time Registered Social Worker for our Emergency department at the Kelowna General Hospital. This role is anticipated to run until approximately November 2026 or the return of the current incumbent. Days of Work: Rotating. Typical shift pattern is 4 shifts on, then 4 shifts off including work on weekends and stat holidays Shift times/Hours of work: 15:00 to 00:55

The Social Worker provides comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families. Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, the Social Worker provides direct psychosocial care, counseling and group work, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self management. The Social Worker is responsible for providing and developing social work services to maintain or improve the health and social well-being and functioning of the identified population.
