Requires a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited university and eligibility for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator. BLS certification is required, and two years of hospital clinical experience is preferred.

The Renal Pharmacist participates in all aspects of care for renal patients including immunizations, prescribing/deprescribing, pharmacokinetic monitoring, and is a steward for all appropriate medication use. The candidate will also engage in quality committees, quality improvement and research initiatives. Further, the candidate will provide educational sessions to other health care professionals, as well as precept pharmacy learners.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or an entry level Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy from a CCAPP (or similar standard) accredited university required Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred Eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator (NSPR) BLS (Basic Life Support) required Minimum two years experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
