Provide compassionate, person-centered support to elderly and disabled clients within their homes to ensure comfort, safety, and independence. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
Requires a high school diploma and current First Aid/CPR certification, with a PSW certification preferred. Candidates must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and provide proof of required vaccinations and TB clearance.

Job Summary As a Caregiver with Assisting Hands Home Care in Ottawa, Ontario, you will be an essential part of a team dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered support to elderly and disabled clients in their homes. Your primary responsibility is to ensure each client’s comfort, safety, and independence while fostering a dignified, respectful environment. You will assist clients with daily living activities and provide companionship, emotional support, and reliable care.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent training preferred.
Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is an asset but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to client care. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Basic understanding of medical terminology and health care procedures (training provided).
