Core responsibilities of the position

• The primary focus of the Registered Practical Nurse is to perform physical assessments, health education and counselling according to the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO standards of practice for Registered Practical Nurses. The RPN will:
• Participate in public speaking in various venues and community partnerships
• Ensure clinical and office areas, resources, materials, processes and equipment are maintained in communication and collaboration with other team members
• Provide clinical assessments addressing the physical and emotional needs of clients
• Contribute to chart documentation, participate in chart reviews, case conferences and progress reports to referring/non-referring Physicians or primary health care providers
• Perform other duties that support the mission and vision of the organization and/or as assigned based on position responsibilities and/or site requirements.
