The MRI Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. They are responsible for operating MRI equipment, administering contrast media, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnosis.
Candidates must have a post-diploma MRI program completion, CMRITO registration, and current CPR/BLS certification. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting with 1.5T and 3.0T platforms is preferred.
Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging, the MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures utilizing in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, MRI principles, and imaging protocols. The role requires independent judgment, technical skill, and critical thinking to safely and efficiently operate MRI equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images for the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of injury and disease. The technologist ensures patient safety, comfort, and care throughout the imaging process and adheres to all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate in all mandatory training requirements and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Schroeder Ambulatory Centre Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines
