This role involves the safe and efficient operation of a CT scanner to generate high-quality diagnostic images, requiring the application of comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and imaging principles. Key duties include preparing equipment, assessing patient safety for contrast administration, operating scanners following ALARA principles, and performing post-processing of images.
Candidates must possess current registration with the CMRITO and have 1–3 years of related experience in CT imaging, along with certification to initiate IVs and current CPR certification. Strong knowledge of anatomy, contrast safety, radiation safety, and proficiency in operating CT equipment and managing PACS/RIS systems are essential.
Overview and Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, this role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a CT scanner to produce high-quality diagnostic images. The incumbent will apply comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, CT imaging principles, and independent clinical judgment to support the accurate diagnosis and treatment of injury and disease.
• Participate in all mandatory training requirements and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, company Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines
