The Behavioral Therapist provides evidence-based assessments and interventions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They develop Behavior Support Plans and provide coaching and training to staff and families to improve quality of life.
Requires a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Behavioral Science, Psychology, or a related field, along with 1-2 years of experience in behavioral support. Candidates must possess a valid BC Driver's Licence and various certifications including First Aid and CPI.
The Behavioral Therapist provides evidence‑based behavioral assessment and intervention services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who experience complex or challenging behaviors. Working within a person‑centred framework, the Behavioral Therapist supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and provides coaching and training to staff, families, and contractors to promote positive behavioral outcomes and quality of life.
