About the Role

• As a Part-time Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality medical care to patients within a clinical setting.
• Your primary objective will be to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Minimum Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• Completion of residency training in a relevant specialty or family medicine.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in patient care.
• Good standing with the provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications or training in specialized areas such as emergency medicine, geriatrics, or chronic disease management.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in Canadian healthcare settings.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
• Previous experience in part-time or flexible clinical roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical findings and best practice guidelines.
• Prescribe medications and therapies while monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
• Participate in continuing medical education and quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical skills.
