The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans for diverse patient populations. Key duties include performing clinical interventions like wound care and telemetry monitoring while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold an accredited nursing degree. Experience in direct patient care is required, with preferences for certifications in wound care or pediatric nursing.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is an integral member of the interdisciplinary health care team, providing comprehensive primary care services and promoting healthy lifestyle choices for individuals, families, and the community. Working within a health promotion and client-centered care framework, the RN delivers clinical care, health education, counselling, outreach, and follow-up services while contributing to the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services.
The RN collaborates closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, allied health professionals, and community partners to address the unique needs of diverse and marginalized populations, including low-income individuals, newcomers, and multicultural communities. The role also supports quality improvement initiatives, program development, health promotion activities, and student and volunteer learning opportunities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical assessment, triage, treatment, and health education skills, supported by a solid understanding of health promotion and population health approaches. They will be effective collaborators within an interdisciplinary team, with excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management abilities. A demonstrated commitment to client-centred, culturally responsive care is essential, along with knowledge of community resources and referral pathways to support coordinated service delivery. The role also requires proficiency with electronic medical records, databases, and Microsoft Office applications, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
