POSITION SUMMARY In keeping with the mission statement of the hospital and the patient service unit, the nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for individual patients/families. Effectively uses the nursing process Practices according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the patient service unit Provides appropriate learning experiences for the patient and family to promote or maintain wellness, and to achieve an optimal quality of life Is accountable for maintaining competence while developing the quality of his/ her professional nursing practice. Working effectively as part of a Multidisciplinary team with multiple services.
