The Licensed Practical Nurse applies the nursing process to support clients, residents, or patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within various care settings. The LPN works to their full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency according to organizational policies and professional standards.
Applicants must possess current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for relevant areas. Required qualifications also include knowledge of professional standards, demonstrated ability to foster collaboration, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and make autonomous decisions.
