The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for obtaining quality blood samples and other specimens from patients, conducting patient tests, and assisting in building a positive team environment while maintaining quality metrics. This role also involves providing excellent customer service to ensure the best possible patient experience during potentially stressful situations.
Candidates must have completed Secondary School and a Laboratory Assistant training program or a Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized phlebotomy training, demonstrating skill in phlebotomy and managing anxious patients. Essential requirements include being customer-focused, detail-oriented, proficient in English, and capable of self-management in a deadline-oriented environment.
