The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional practical nursing services to designated patients, which includes independent nursing services and administering prescribed medical treatments. Responsibilities also involve collaboration within the healthcare team and participation in coordinating patient care and discharge.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program and maintain active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM), including required IV Therapy and CPR certifications. Experience in the applicable clinical area is preferred, alongside knowledge of relevant legislation and nursing standards.

Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, collaboration and interaction within the healthcare team and participation in the coordination of patient care and discharge. The LPN demonstrates a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.
This maternity/parental term may expire sooner than the date indicated, subject to written notice of a minimum two (2) weeks, or one (1) pay period, whichever is longer.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
