MFM Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)

• Remarkable Careers.” We are currently looking for CRGS certified, or soon to be certified, Ultrasound Technologists to join our expanding maternal fetal medicine (MFM) focused outpatient clinic practice in a casual position.
• Working collaboratively with our Perinatologists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position MFM patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images.
• Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.
• What You’ll Be Doing Perform Ultrasound Exams: Conduct routine and specialized sonography imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
• Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
• Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver remarkable care.
• Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and specialize in additional skillsets such as Interventional, MSK, and Breast.
• Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track ultrasound equipment performance, document findings, and resolve basic issues.
• Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.
• What We’re Looking For Professional Membership: Certified Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS) through Sonography Canada, or eligible to obtain.
• Current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT), or eligibility for registration.
• Ultrasound Experience: Clinical competency as a generalist sonographer, with an interest in refining and expanding skills in advanced practice areas such as pediatrics, MSK, OB/GYN, vascular and cardiac exams, and interventional procedures.
• Specialized Knowledge: Experience with MFM ultrasound exams is considered an asset.

Position Type: Casual Schedule: Wednesdays and Mondays, as needed. Work Location: This position will be based from our Pacific Place clinic. Out-of-Province Applicants: Eligibility for registration with the ACMDTT is required.
